What is FurDU?
Furry Down Under is an Anthropomorphic/Furry convention held in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. Playing host to furries both from Australia and abroad, FurDU was created with one goal in mind. FUN!
We offer a safe, friendly environment that you can feel comfortable in, spending times with friends and making new ones. With everything from dances, fursuiting, artist's tables, shows, entertainment and games. We hope that Furry Down Under will give you a weekend you’ll never forget.

For the last two years FurDU has been hosted at the Vibe hotel, but the convention has grown so much that the Vibe hotel can no lone support us all and we have had no choice but to expand. So from now on FurDU will be hosted at the Watermark hotel on the gold coast!

The Watermark will be a great hotel for this year's (and hopefully future) FurDU conventions, large enough to support many more attendees while still keeping the registration price as low as possible. The hotel offers great rooms and suites, an choice of two pools, sauna, gym, and day spa. A beautiful view of the river on one side and the beach on the other side.
The rooms include air con, on demand movies and cable TV as well as in room broad band access (charges may apply).
All external events are within walking distance to the hotel, so no need to try arrange transport, buses or carpool.
Rooms can cater for up to 3 people. WIth a choice of two double beds or an added roll out bed (charges may apply).
*All rooms in the Watermark are 3 people per room max.
4.5 star rooms host 2 Double Beds or 1x Queen and 3 people rooms (2 double beds) are limited.
Room rates:
2 People: $135 per room per night ($67.5 per person per night)
+ breakfast = +$17 per person per night
3 People: $155 per room per night ($52 per person per night)
+ Roll away bed = + $30
+ breakfast = +$17 per person per night
5 star delux are max 2 people per room but come with upgraded room + amenities, bathrobes and a $25 dayspa voucher
Room rate:
2 People: $170 per room per night ($85 per person per night)
+ breakfast = +$17 per person per night

Note that upon booking by credit card you will be charged the full amount within 7 working days from making the booking. There is also a 1.5% surcharge for booking by credit card.
If you intend to pay by cash you will have to pay the full amount plus a $100 deposit on the day of arrival.
* Complimentary Wireless internet access available on Ground level for attendees staying at the hotel, contact reception upon checking in for password.
* Reservations are on an individual basis – via website with Promotion Code FURRY for all accommodation requirements and are subject to availability.
* All bookings will be asked to provide credit card details to pay for their accommodation booking and are responsible for settling their account on check out.
* Alternatively bookings can call the hotel reservation department on (07) 5588 8327 and advise their group affiliation with arrival and departure dates. Again a credit card must be provided to pay for and confirm their reservation.
* Check-in/Check-out Check-in is at 2pm. Room assignment prior to 2pm is subject to availability. Check-out is at 10am. Any departure after this time and up to 4pm will incur an additional charge. Any departure after 4pm will incur an additional night’s room rate. 24 hours notice is required where the attendee wishes to check-out earlier than the schedule departure date.
